My name is Barbara. I own a two family in Franklin that has been completely lead abated threw the State Department of Health and Human Services. I am ready to start taking care of children in my home. I have a two year degree from The University of Quincy, Mass in Early Childhood Education. My high school vocational trade was childcare as well. I went on to obtain my lead teachers license to run any daycare threw Wheelock College in Boston, Mass. I currently am 11 classes away from a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Southern New Hampshire university, however I am not enrolled at this time. I worked with the city of Boston for four years as a toddler and preschool teacher at the Mattapan Mass. campus. In 1998 when I gave birth to my son, I made the decision to begin a home daycare. I registered with the Department of Health and Human Services as a child care provider and began caring for children while I waited to be entered into the system. Although it has been many years and they discontinued my provider number I am willing to redo the process of obtaining a new number and wait for payment from DHHS provided proper and current paperwork is available for verification of benefit amount.
I would like to begin taking care of children again in my home and I charge reasonable rates and I?m very flexible. My son is in 7th grade at the Franklin Middle School so I have mother?s hours however I am willing to care for children for second shift family?s.
