POMPANO BEACH, FL?? On Saturday June 25th, paddleboarders, surfersand fisherman alike can simply cast a line to support community children withspecial needs during the 2nd Annual ?Cast for Kids? Stand-upPaddleboard Fishing Tournament.

During these difficult economic times we arefortunate that we can count on civic-minded individuals to help fund criticalservices and programming for some of the most at-risk children in the nation,?said CEO Marjorie Evans.
The tournament will see participants turn paddleboards and surfboards into eco-friendly fishing platforms to compete in capturing the largestfish, most fish, and overall total weight. Spectators and participants will enjoya post-event party, food and refreshments for purchase, music, awards ceremony,and the chance to win fantastic raffle prizes. Pre-registration is $50.00 and $60.00 the day of the event,while admission is free of charge to spectators. The tournament beginsat 6:00am with a Bimini start, weigh-in at 12:00pm, and an awards ceremony andafter party beginning 1:00pm.
Last year?s winners reeled in a 10.9 pound King Mackerel inthe individual category and a 15.5 pound Bonita in the team category. Winnersreceived plaques, fishing rods, apparel, and of course bragging rights forwinning a first-of-a-kind event on the East Coast.
